Miss International 2011 is Miss Ecuador

Miss International 2011, the 51st edition of the pageant that gathered 67 delegates, was held on November 6 at the Sichuan Opera Theatre, in Chengdu, China.

22-year old Maria Fernanda Cornejo from Ecuador bested 66 other contestants from around the world to win the first ever grand slam title for her country.

First runner-up was Jessica Barboza of Venezuela. Second runner-up was Miss Mongolia, Tugsuu Idersaikhan.

Completing the top 5 were beauties from Puerto Rico, Desiree Del Rio and Panama, Keity Mendieta.
