Known as the “Happy City”, Mar del Plata is famous for its beautiful beaches, busy night life, and great sea food. It is home of the famous Mar del Plata International Film Festival, and back in 1995, it hosted the Panamerican Games. The world-famous and delicious Havanna Alfajores are also from Mar del Plata.
Now Mar del Plata gets ready to welcome some 25 beauties from all continents to compete for the title Miss Global Teen 2012. The winner will win USD 5000 cash, among other prizes. She will be crowned by beautiful Mayte Medina, from the Dominican Republic, the first ever Miss Global Teen.
