The Finals of Ceska Miss Earth 2012


The finals of Ceska Miss 2012 will take place at the Karlin Theatre in Prague on March 31st, televised live through Prima Family. Three winners will be crowned: Ceska Miss Universe (chosen by SMS votes), Ceska Miss World (chosen by the panel of judges, presided by actress Claudia Cardinale) and Ceska Miss Earth (the winner of the online voting).

An official announcement regarding the Miss Earth 2012 host country is yet to be made by Carousel Productions, organizers. The event is expected to take place in October.

Two state representatives for Miss Universe Brazil 2012 were crowned last week. Miss Universe Rondônia is Michele Miquelini, from the city of Ariquemes, and Miss Universe Pará 2012 is Layse Souto, from Salinópolis. 21 candidates competed in the Miss Universe Pará pageant.

Dates and venue of Miss Universe Brazil 2012 have not yet been announced.

Diani Lize (Miss Ilha dos Marinheiros 2012), and Sancler (1st runner-up)

The new Miss Ilha dos Marinheiros, or Sailors’ Island, is Daiani Lize dos Reis, 22, 1.81 m-tall. She edged out 23 candidates who competed for the title at the Ecoland Resort, in Igrejinha. The runner-ups were Sancler Frantz and Maria Lua Streit. Alexsandra Padilha won the “Standout Beauty” special award.

Sara Ramos: Miss Florianopolis Islands

Sara Ramos, a model from Penha, was crowned Miss World Ilhas de Florianópolis 2013. She competed with 14 other candidates and will now go on to represent the 365 beautiful islands of Florianópolis in Miss World Brazil 2013, at the Portobello Resort and Safari, in Rio de Janeiro, on September 22.

Tell us a little something about your Country ?

Guyana is a gem of a country. It is geographically South American but culturally Caribbean and is the only English speaking country in South America. Georgetown which is known as the ‘garden city of the Caribbean’ is the capital and the largest city.

Future ambitions ?

To have my own medical practice and to provide medical attention to people living in poverty stricken areas across the world.

Describe yourself

I consider myself a fun loving, honest, hard working and down to earth person. I also see myself as a passionate person; I am passionate about achieving the goals I set for myself and passionate about helping others.

Personal Motto?

It is better to try and fail, than to fail to try.

Favourite food ?

Chinese fried rice.

Favourite Music / Books ?

I have a great appreciation for all genres of music. My favourite book is ‘Alice in Wonderland’ by Lewis Carroll.

What is the proudest moment of your life or most memorable day?

The day I graduated from college with my bachelor’s degree in Biology was the most memorable. I remember how proud and happy my parents were. On that day, I reflected on the challenges I faced to get to this stage including living in and adjusting to three different countries.
